Lunar New Year Fire Horses

This series is my first foray into collaging with my late mom’s photographs of cut flowers. Taken by the sheer amount of yellow, orange, and red roses, I was inspired to collage fire horses in celebration of the Lunar New Year. I explored using the roses abstractly—cut up for form and color—and enigmatically—cut out exactly, but rendered surreal in juxtaposition with other elements.
