The Acorn Farmer

One summer, my father counted 60 oak saplings in our family’s backyard. This portrait, featuring freshly fallen and sprouted acorns, honors the hardworking (and forgetful) neighborhood squirrels while also repurposing a beloved brand’s tissue paper packaging.

Materials & Techniques: Collaged tissue paper, Japanese marbling paper, water-based ink, acrylic paint
